HISTORY AND INNOVATION

Burel is a historical fabric present in Portugal since the 11th Century, now used in an innovative way in fashion, design, art and architecture.

HANDMADE IN PORTUGAL

Burel Factory is proud to produce only in Portugal, from the parts it produces at the Serra da Estrela factory, to suppliers who share the handmade artisanal production methods.

CONSCIOUS AND SUSTAINABLE

The wool of our fabrics comes from the happy sheep that graze freely in the mountains of Serra da Estrela. The production is made in ancestral looms, by various hands that give them life, shape and color, in a consistent and balanced way without intervening with the resources that nature offers us.
