Details & Care

Items in this collection may vary in color and shade from one another, as a result of a special dyeing process developed in collaboration with Massimo Guarducci’s laboratories.
This process involves treating the fabric with a dye-resistant agent. During dyeing, some of the fibers repel the dye, naturally creating an uneven tonal effect—similar to the washes and distressing typical of denim.
For this reason, each piece is slightly different and unique, reflecting the authenticity of the artisanal process.

HISTORY AND INNOVATION

Burel is a historic fabric that has been present in Portugal since the 11th century and is now being used in innovative ways in fashion, design, art, and architecture.

MADE BY MANY HANDS

Taking on the entire wool production cycle in our factory, this collection is crafted by people—many people—who weave, sew, embroider, and bring all the artistry of working with wool to life through the mastery of their hands—in collaboration with manufacturing partners who adhere to the same standards.

CONSCIOUS AND SUSTAINABLE

The wool used in our fabrics comes from happy sheep that graze freely in the mountains of Serra da Estrela. The fabrics are woven on looms dating from the early 20th century by skilled artisans who still preserve the craftsmanship of an era when the industry was entirely handmade, adapting their production in a mindful and balanced way.
