Wood or wood-based materials (such as MDF) can be combined with burel in the following situations:
– Surface cladding using plain burel
– Production of components with irregular shapes
As burel is a textile material, it must be combined with a rigid substrate in order to ensure proper finishing and structural integrity of the components.
Yes, it is possible to combine burel with other materials. If you intend to bond the textile to any type of surface, we recommend the use of contact glue.
Burel is a 100% wool textile, and elasticity is one of the natural properties of this fibre. It expands with humidity and contracts with heat.
- Burel is an ancestral textile that was traditionally used for capes and coats on rainy, snowy and cold days in the mountains. Today, the fabric has evolved into a wide range of design concepts and solutions. Although it is resistant to harsh weather conditions, it is not a material recommended for outdoor use.
As a flooring solution, Burel Factory produces rugs, which can be customised in terms of size, colour and pattern.
We recommend consulting a specialised technician to assess the building structure and existing floor construction. Although Burel Points have a high capacity for noise attenuation, this may not be sufficient in certain situations, as the source of the noise may result from structural deficiencies, requiring more technical interventions, such as acoustic underlays beneath the existing flooring.
Consulting a qualified specialist will help determine whether the proposed Burel Points solution will be adequate for your specific requirements.

As each project is unique, customisation is available in terms of size, colour, shape and stitch type. Pricing is provided upon quotation.
Yes, for orders above 60 meters.
It varies according to the type of 3D Stitch. For stitch types in which the plain base fabric is folded and topstitched, colours can only be combined in stripes, as is the case with Favos, Cortes, Canais and similar stitch patterns.
As burel is a 100% natural textile, colour consistency cannot be fully guaranteed. Colour variation may occur due to the natural tone of the raw material and structural variations in the fibre, which influence dye absorption. Therefore, exact colour matching from batch to batch cannot be assured.
For orders requiring large quantities of fabric, or for applications where a higher degree of colour uniformity is essential, Burel Factory should be informed in advance. This requirement must be considered during production to ensure that the fabric is manufactured in the same dye lot.
Of course. However, based on quantity or type of samples, there may be a cost.
Burel is a low-maintenance textile. Its fibre structure naturally repels dirt and, in the event of spillage, it can be promptly cleaned and dried. Regular vacuuming is sufficient to clean and maintain a panel in a like-new condition.
You may place your order in person, by telephone or by email. Payment is required either in full (100%) or with a 50% deposit upon confirmation of the order, with the remaining balance payable upon completion of the order and prior to dispatch.
Billing details will be requested for invoicing purposes, and production will commence upon receipt of 50% of the confirmed order value.
As each project is unique and custom made, lead and delivery times depend on stock availability for the selected colour, together with the production time required for the pieces.
Shipping costs vary on destination, weight and volume.
There are no limits to creativity and innovation. Any material can be used in combination with burel, provided there is compatibility in terms of the construction of the final piece.
Yes, but they are reused in the production of other pieces. We operate a zero-waste policy.
It has the natural elasticity of wool, although not to a significant degree, as burel is a highly dense textile.
